Terms of service

What we provide

Northwest Health Ltd provides a private GP consultation, a referral for imaging, and a GP review of the resulting report. We do not carry out scans ourselves. Scans are performed by independent imaging providers and reported by consultant radiologists engaged by them.

Who can use the service

Adults aged 18 and over living in England. We cannot accept bookings from patients living in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or outside the UK.

Booking and payment

A £25 booking fee is taken when you book and is deducted from the price of your scan. The balance is payable before the referral is sent. Prices are as shown on the site at the time of booking.

If the scan is not appropriate

If the GP advises against the scan you have chosen, we will either change it or cancel it. Anything you have paid beyond the £25 booking fee is refunded.

Cancellations

The £25 booking fee is non-refundable once your GP call has taken place. Once a referral has been made, the imaging centre's own cancellation terms apply, and they may charge for appointments missed or cancelled at short notice. Tell us as soon as you know you cannot attend.

Appointments and waiting times

Scans are not carried out on the day you book. The imaging centre contacts you directly to arrange a date. We cannot guarantee a particular date, centre or scanner.

Limits of the service

This is not an emergency service. If you are acutely unwell, contact your NHS GP, call 111, or in an emergency call 999. A normal scan does not exclude all disease, and no test is perfect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
