Which test?
An ECG records the heart's electrical rhythm. An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart's structure, valves and pumping. A cardiac MRI gives detailed images of the heart muscle. Cardiac CT looks at the coronary arteries; see cardiac CT.
These are not emergency tests. If you have chest pain, collapse or severe breathlessness, call 999.

- GP review of the report with a written summary
- A GP call if anything abnormal is found
A £25 booking fee secures your GP call and comes off the price.
Common questions
Can I have an ECG at your clinic?
Yes. ECGs at our Bamber Bridge clinic are £110. Every other scan takes place at a partner imaging centre.
Do I need a referral from my NHS GP?
No. Our GP provides the referral after your pre-scan call.
How quickly can I be scanned?
The imaging centre contacts you once we send the referral, usually within a few working days. Scans are not carried out on the day you book.
